  • Experience...

is a funny thing.  You don't have it 'til you've had it.  A few years ago, I didn't really enjoy baby-sitting.  Then I got nieces.  I like it pretty much now.  They are very engaging individuals who never cease to amaze me with the heart-warming and charming things they do and think of.

A few years ago, I didn't know if I'd ever go to college.  But I've been through FB, and I've been on a sojourn in the land of Columbus State, and more lies ahead!  It's really possible.

    A few random pics--

Tonight we made The Three Bears out of bread dough.  Only they turned out to be a little more bunny-like than bear-like.  Here Kaitlyn arranges her raisin artwork.

    And Alexa adds her flair.

We ran out of raisins, so mine stayed plain.

The other day, I was waiting to meet with a math professor.  I don't go down to the main campus often, so I always enjoy the bustling city life and cool views there.  Like a dork, I took pictures out the window.  A storm was gathering, and it was magnificent--in a downtown sort of way.

That's all for now, folks!  May your experiences today be educational, fulfilling, and fun.

    How to Talk to Girls
    By Alec Greven

    Wisdom from 8-yr.-old Alec Greven:

"The right thing to do when you have a crush is:

    Never show off too much
    Don't be silly and goofy
Control your hyperness (cut down on sugar if you need to)
Make sure you have good friends who won't try to take the girl you like.

Finally, you have to be able to get over a crush if it doesn't work out.  A crush is like a love disease.  It can drive you mad.

Try not to let it get you down."

Amateur chocolate art.  These were all done by me.  Note the difference a little practice can make--the first ones were disastrous.  My friend Rosanna is to blame for making it seem possible.

"A thrill of hope--the weary world rejoices."  Take it to heart in 2009.

  •     The Colorado Adventure

So I chose one of the three weddings this fall to go to out west.  I chose to go to my cousin Dorothy's wedding.  It was so cool to have my friend Yvonne with me as we rented a car and drove the supposedly 5 hours to get to the wedding area.  I shall tell of our trip in pictures.

In the air--is that not a gorgeous work of art??

I am glad not to be driving in snow through the mountains anymore!  God was looking out for us in countless ways, and I praise Him for that.

  • A Fall Celebration with the Richwood Bank Team

We played a bunch of games, including water balloon volleyball, horseshoe golf or something of the such, RBC Bingo, and "Decorate the Frozen Purple Cow"--that's RBC-speak for "make a deluxe ice cream sundae with blindfolds on."
